I will be getting my B2150 HST FEL/BH at the weekend, the dealer isn't Kubota franchised so can't tell me what year it is. I have tried the normal sites - Tractortips and Machinerylink but can't seem to find what I need to know. The serial number is (as read out ny the dealer) B2150 HD 52489. Can anyone tell me what year it is please?

Thanks in advance

Andy.

Very happy to hear you’re finally getting the tractor. Wish I could help with the serial number/year question. Year of manufacturer isn't as important to tractors as to automobiles, but it's something that probably should be found out.

It might be good to find a Kubota dealer you will work with, and the dealer should be able to identify the tractor. Owners often find themselves tied to a dealer because dealers specialize in support a particular manufacturer. It’s not necessarily a bad thing. In fact, most any trained mechanic can do decent work on most any tractor. However, they may require repair and parts manuals that generally only dealers have. I have both manuals, so I have the option of taking the tractor outside my dealer network, although I usually stick with my dealer.

In tracking down serial number information, I would keep in mind that tractor tips and machinery links are N.A. sites. I'm not entirely certain that models and serial numbers are universal everywhere. I believe that manufacturers do produce somewhat different models for different parts of the world. I know that my Ford parts manual sometimes has different part numbers for tractors sold in different parts of the world. I'm guessing that these regional differences would have to be identified in the serial number. Parts numbers also are often specified by year. There usually are design changes in the life of a tractor model where different parts are used so it is important to know the serial number/year for ordering parts.

Hi Tom

Took your advise and went to my local dealer - don't know why I didn't think of that myself. He rang Kubota and they said it is Feb 1991.

Thanks once again
